  1. Just wondering what your most important attributes are in generating the pitcher rankings. For example:

    Michael Marbry, Asheville: 7.48 K/9; 2.08 BB/9; 0.14 HR/9; 1.26 WHIP ; .338 BABIP; 68.2% LOB; 3.46 ERA; 2.43 FIP

    Ranks among the 35 pitchers listed: K/9 = 17th; BB/9 = 12th; HR/9 = 1st; WHIP = 15th; BABIP = 26th lowest; LOB = 10th; ERA = 25th; FIP = 3rd;

    I see a minimum of 50 innings is needed and Marbry threw 65 (and in that park!).

    This is not meant as a criticism of your rankings in any way because I realize that minor league player rankings are quite subjective, but I am interested in the methodology! Thanks for all the work.

  2. Honestly, MLC, I'm not sure what happened there. I've gotten all the data from fangraphs.com and have basically been sorting by FIP so he should have ranked third. Marbry doesn't appear in their SAL Rankings either so I guess that's where the problem came into play.

    Thanks for the catch. Marbry is definitely a player worth watching.

    Hopefully I would have caught that when I started ranking prospects by team.
